Well crap. That handmedown PC monitor is giving me a 'input not supported' message when I hook it all up. That stops me dead in my tracks until I can figure out how to solve it.

258: Went to Kung Fu but it was all internalists, so I just worked out by myself. They are closing down the Academy officially for December because of the covid surge, but another instructor and I have agreed to oversee some socially-distanced sessions in the parking lot. We'll see how that goes.
I've got nothing today. I could chip on an article or two. I might. I might not. I hope to finish Cobra Kai S3 tonight, so that's work.
We're planning to make pizza and watch vids tonight. And we'll have to take Yuki out for his daily constitutional or he will chew up more of our few material possessions.

259: I got nothing but chores and housecleaning today, and finishing up that final Den feature. So I'll probably be around here a lot today. Online banter has replaced my social interaction in the age of social distancing.

260: I gotta swing by TC today to meet with our old IT guy who says he'll get this handmedown PC set up properly. Then I'll stay at my mom's for an extra night tonight instead of crossing 17 an extra time.
She's got a plumber coming tomorrow to deal with the kitchen sink, which has been getting progressively worse every day. I'm concerned with the covid rates so high in her county - Santa Clara has instigated quarantines for anyone travelling outside of 50 miles.

260: Spending the day at my mom's. A plumber is coming to unclog the kitchen sink - I gave it several goes with drain openers and plungers but no luck. We reinstalled a disposal last year, but it failed. That sink is cursed. It's always been so. I already finished most of my mom's chores today. Just have to put the garbage out on Wednesday.
Beyond that, I have some misc. work for YMAA & KFM.

263: Today is my weekly YMAA telemeeting plus I’ve got some small tasks for KFM. I also need to do my EDD - not getting much right now, a little over a Benjamin a week, but it’s money I’ve paid into already and usually takes less than an hour to slog through the EDD forms online and we can certainly use it now that Stacy is not working due to the surge.
Yuki is a bit down with a cough - kennel cough maybe? Too much dog parking perhaps? We’ll probably skip tomorrow’s outings depending on how he’s doing but the price for that might be a lot of biting and humping come twilight.
We looked into Covered California and it doesn’t save us much. Cobra lasts 18 to 36 months so we’ll likely stay there. Hopefully I’ll land a job with insurance by then. Health insurance is draining us. And I’m going to get slammed by taxes because these freelance gigs don’t deduct.

Well, today is off to a bad start. Woke to a frozen computer and I had an early morning telemeeting that I missed the first 2 hours - partly my error because I didn't check my calendar last night so I didn't get started on time. I'm going to blame yesterday's evening juggle but it was really my bad. Took my eyes off the ball for a moment.

264: Today is one of those weird work holes when there's no impending deadlines, so I got to make work for myself, prep stuff for the next deluge. My weekend will be so too.
My surface pro froze again this morning - that's twice in two days, plus the strange file dump earlier this week. It returns after a restart but it's very worrisome.
I hope to sort some more EDD stuff today too.

265- My Kung Fu academy officially closed for December for the surge however a few of us are meeting informally in the parking lot for socially distanced practice. I volunteered to lead. We’ll see how long that goes with the surge on the uptick.

267: Made a run to the bank to transfer my EDD and to the water store to replenish. It was quite the expedition. Seems like any trip outside is a major quest nowadays.
I did some work for YMAA & KFM and have a YMAA call in about half an hour, after which I'll do more for them.
My PC parts are scheduled for delivery today. Fingers crossed that they are all plug & play.
