「美國功夫太極雜誌社」社長簡琪與聖荷西市議員朱感生30日宣布將於6月10日（周日）上午10時30分到下午3時，在聖荷西市中心賈維斯（Cesar Chavez）廣場舉行慶祝功夫太極雜誌創刊20周年，以及聖荷西功夫太極日活動。

活動除舞龍、舞獅外，還有武術表演，邀請全球各地的太極武術高手示範，並免費教學，此外還有文化、醫療保健等社團的展示攤位，適合全家前來參加。

朱感生表示，聖荷西市府已通過將6月10日訂為「聖荷西的功夫太極日」。他將代表市府將表揚狀贈予雜誌社。他非常讚賞「功夫太極」推廣中國傳統文化的努力，是非常有意義的一件事。

雜誌創刊20周年慶祝分為兩天，共有三個活動。6月9日白天為第四屆美國功夫太極雜誌世界武術錦標賽，地點在聖荷西市區的會議中心（Convention Center）。

主辦單位將於6月9日晚間在聖荷西會議中心的J廳舉辦晚宴，邀請雜誌歷年來的封面大師來現場示範，包括名家陳美美、陳氏太極代表陳柄，以及中國現代武術之父吳彬等40多位。
