I keep finding sand in his ear. But maybe it's earmite poop. He's got huge fuzzy ears and he doesn't like me sticking my finger in them right now. There doesn't seem to be any blood so I don't think neosporing should be applied. He did have a blood spot on his fur, but it turned out to be because he just lost his baby canine fang (I grabbed it because it was dangling from his gum before he ate it). Stacy gave him a bath and we dried him thoroughly to avoid another hot spot.
Stacy is feeling better but not 100%. She has a covid test for Tues. We have an appointment for Yuki on Wednesday.

I Zoom chatted with my friend John Herlihy over in Ireland. Ireland is getting ready to go into their second lockdown as the virus surges. John works for LinkedIn and traveled extensively for his job, which I thought he was still doing since the borders of the EU are still open to travel. That isn't the case. He hasn't gone anywhere in months. He doesn't expect to travel at the earliest until June 2021. But he expects it will probably be January 2022.
I asked him if getting people to wear masks was a problem like it is here in the States and he said not at all. He was at the market and there was 100%compliance. The kids are all back at school and they are all very good at wearing the masks. The Irish have this weird theory about putting the health of the community ahead of individual liberties. Weird, right?
I told him to get the guest room ready if Trump is elected to a second term.

Same old today as yesterday, plus an ImStud telechat. They gave me a stock option there.
Interesting about Ireland. Does your friend have more spare rooms?

He has a separate house in Lahinch, which is on the West Coast just south of the Cliffs of Moher, as well. Maybe we'll take that and you can have the room in Dublin?

202: Woke today really angry. I don’t know why. Something I dreamt perhaps. I suspect it’s the ever escalating tension from the election and sheltering in place all this time.
Today’s tasks are the usual for Tuesday then over to my mom’s.

203: Work tasks plus another visit to Tiger Claw to pick up a handmedown monitor. After letting go of so many on staff, they have extra and I need something bigger than my laptop for this new work program I’m using. Need to get groceries for my mom and sort more of this probable intervention. I don’t even know how interventions happed during the pandemic.

A dude in my peripheral circle has fallen off the rails pretty badly according to reports. We're friends, but not that close actually. I know him through the music scene and mutual friends. He runs a pot farm up in the Emerald Triangle. For some odd reason, the myth of me has built up in his mind and he puts me on this weird pedastal. He invited me to come up and stay at his farm for a while to teach qigong to him and his crew when the pandemic hit. Not my scene anymore, hasn't been for years. That kind of immersion now is beyond my brain capacity anymore.
Now he's having financial disputes with his business partners and someone's put a restraining order on him. He fled the property and totalled a truck he just got during the flight. He's been staying a a motel in the north bay for several weeks with some hookers. He's had problems with coke, but this sounds like its nitrous and ketamine. It's a binge and these seldom end well.
A good friend of mine is putting together an intervention crew. It's only four of us - the two others are another friend and his gf. He's got a 30-day facility lined up. I'll support where I can but that's not much right now. It's been over a quarter century since I've been involved with an intervention.
