So that's all the video appointment told you? Wait and see if it gets worse?
I bruise easily but it fades quickly. Ted started his students in Horse Knife, which used to be one of my favs. I remember the techniques but not the pattern. I realized that it's the only weapon that I learned that I never added to my armoury collection. But I was getting this weird bruise on the back of my right hand and it took me a while until I figured out that it was due to they way it was rubbing up against the guard. Most of my bruises discolor for a day or two then disappear. And they aren't too sore.

The nice people at Kaiser Wilhelm made an almost instant in-person appt with a nice ultrasound lady. Seriously, it was hang up, get call, get to hospital in 30 min. The Lyft driver got a good tip (I can’t operate the bike with my left foot unable to bend/flex). The nice lady said blood clot, but the result sent by e-mail was cyst. Get this: Nearly 8cm! Huge!
Re:Bruising: I did get spectacular, jet-black horizontal bruising (2 inches tall, 6-8 inches long, 3 stripes stacked vertically on my right side. I was demonstrating a foil lesson, and didn’t think the kid would hit so hard. I had not put my leather on over my black jacket. Looked like I had been interrogated

I'm going to say a cyst is better than a clot as long as the cyst is benign. Did they drain it? Do they have to operate?
Interrogation bruises pictures would have added a lot to the post.
I do not like this trend of more and more serious health problems. Knock it off.

The Donut Cure hurt me, but it hurt me Goooood.
Got pain meds (yay!) found a good combo of OTC meds that seem to do the job (1000mg Tylenol + 400mg Ibuprofen every 8 hours) so saving the hard stuff for later.
Xrays today to make sure the cyst is not attached in any way to the bone (it isn’t). Now I get to follow up with the cutters to see what they recommend.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) go back to the shop. Already have a couple of appointments set up. Taking a couple weeks off from the Stabby-Stabby. Will know more once the sawbones look me over.

So far just hobbling. The action is at the top/back of my calf. Depending on how invasive they wanna get, may not be any worse.
