E9: the penultimate episode aka the ‘all is lost’ Ep. Can the professor pull out one last hat trick? The final Ep is 70+ mins so I’ll save it for later.

Finale = great hat tricks. Bravo! Major feels.
They could go on and do another heist. Enough of them survived. But then there’s the Berlin spin off.
Season 5 had weaker music. It was more explosive and delivered some intense visceral scenes. In the end, while there were flaws, it lived up to its momentum and ended well.
I can’t think of another show that has ever moved me so much. It was a grand rollercoaster.
They say ‘cojones’ more times than is translated properly.

I disapprove of the use of Coldplay. Apart from that, it was a decent finale season. I’m still sad about Tokyo and Nairobi.

Yeah, the music was weaker. That was disappointing. But the final Bella Ciao was triumphant.

This sounds weird, but I was hoping for another dramatic death. They played each death scene so masterfully. So moving.

Another thing that bugged me was Pamplona. I mean why does he deserve a city alias? He kinda comes out of nowhere at the very end. There were other workers melting down the gold in the bank that just sort of disappear.
Actually there’s a ton of plot absurdities but Pamplona stuck out. He even got screen time in the behind-the-scenes doc. I’d’ve preferred to hear more from the core gang.
