My mother has money coming in and she has money going out. Unfortunately, more money goes out than comes in because my mother decided to give her in home care giver a huge raise. My mother has never been good with money. But she was married to a man that was good with money. There are stacks of cash lying around in various accounts. All put aside for just this eventuality.
No problem at all. Except for the fact we are dealing with my mother. She lost her mind when told she would need to take money out of one the accounts to make up the difference between what is coming in and what is going out. The difference is sizable. But one account could make up the difference for the next four years. But no. That money is sacrosanct and not to be touched. Other methods must be found to make up the difference.
Her solution? She wants my two sisters and I to make up the difference. She wants my sisters boyfriend to rent out his house and use that money. She thinks my wife should chip in with the money she will be making from her second job as a court reporter, despite the fact that new job won't appear, if it appears at all, for at least two years. She also thinks now would be a good time to, once again, fire her caregiver. Even though my mother wouldn't live for a minute without round the clock care.
Roberta has told my mother those plans won't work. My mother has the money to solve her problems. Just waiting for her to come to those conclusions.

Roberta has access to the accounts. The bills will be paid. There will be a lot of Sturm und Drang until we get there. But it seems like she goes out of her way to make things more difficult.

Thank you. First pizza consumed with my sister. Funeral won't be until February 15th because the other sister is going to Antarctica on Monday and we are delaying to accommodate. I'll be here for the first go round through next Tuesday.
