RE: Ahsoka (2023) - Greg - 09-07-2023

I watched Ep04. I'm starting to mock. Let's just stand here in the Henge for the entire episode. Let's just send a couple guards out after the ship and then not do any follow up. Plenty of light saber battles. Why isn't Ashoka's weapon a Katana? Why only use one when she has both?

I knew about the cameo because I stumbled into the wrong part of the interweb. Which begs the question where on the timeline are we? Before New Hope? After Return? I do like Hera.

And the Marrok thing, I didn't really pay attention to him. He just seemed to be some NPC in the background. It was confusing when the inter webs blew up trying to guess his identity. I guess now they can stop.

I just read a piece on Ep04 and I'm less confused.

You know, if you just watched Rebels, this would all make a lot more sense to you...

RE: Ahsoka (2023) - Greg - 09-07-2023

Will it explain the standing around the Henge?

RE: Ahsoka (2023) - Drunk Monk - 09-07-2023

Sure.

It’s a Purgill thang…

RE: Ahsoka (2023) - Drunk Monk - 09-13-2023

Lightsabers. Call backs to Clone Wars & Rebels. Ani. Purgills. All good.

RE: Ahsoka (2023) - Greg - 09-13-2023

So many lightsabers. Nice battles.

RE: Ahsoka (2023) - Drunk Monk - 09-13-2023

Say it with me now:

Purgills

No.

That's one of those ideas they could have workshopped a little more.

RE: Ahsoka (2023) - Drunk Monk - 09-13-2023

If you watched Rebels like I told you to, all the work is there.

RE: Ahsoka (2023) - Greg - 09-13-2023

So in order to watch and understand a show, I need to watch an entire other show? How do you hope to get new fans if that is the model?

RE: Ahsoka (2023) - Drunk Monk - 09-13-2023

It’s the MCU way…

Actually you could just watch a YouTube fan synopsis. Or just the final ep of Rebels. Like I told you to.

RE: Ahsoka (2023) - thatguy - 09-13-2023

Or just smile and nod and play along. I saw bits of Avengers Endgame on TV last night and realized that was the whole "blip" piece I've been missing. Now I have to decide if I need to watch the whole film, or just assume I know enough...

How could you miss the ‘blip’? The blip is the purgill of the mcu.

Not really.
