Episode 2 helped a lot. It was good to give reasons for why people were in the Squid Game. 456 is still a loser but less of a loser. And I like how people are challenging the seeming omnipotence of the game with the pickpocket and the detective doing what they did.

Episode 3 back to the games. Kind of a dumb game, but sure. 456's friend isn't a very good friend because he knew the game they were going to play and didn't let on. Still like 001. Glad to see other things going on like the guy getting notes in his bun and the cop and the pickpocket.

I binged two because of the goddamn cliffhanger. But then the next episode ended on the cliff, too, so screw you Squid Game. I don't need to see those two having sex. Ever. I hate tug of war. I'm glad someone thought of organ harvesting but that was a complicated subterfuge. And I'm glad the main guy has some rules about the game. And if we are going to have a riot, let's make sure the strobe lights are on.

All done. I powered through. I liked it. 001, you are a trickster. Such a sad show. I did like the fact all the money was collected in a pig. I hated the bettors. I'm curious how they are going to do a second season but from the way it ended it looks like that is coming. But couldn't he have seen his daughter in the US before going on that quest?

So many great deaths. Although it occurs to me Squid Game viewers much like Squid Game participants are very similar. If you got passed the Red Light-Green Light Lady you could make it through the whole thing.

[b]Netflix is seeking 456 individuals to compete in a new reality show based on the massively popular Korean drama “Squid Game.”[/b]
On Tuesday, the streaming giant announced an open casting call for “Squid Game: The Challenge,” claiming it to be “the biggest reality competition series ever.”
The 10-episode reality show will feature players competing in a series of non-deadly games for $4.56 million, the largest cash prize in reality TV history.
“Squid Game took the world by storm with Director Hwang’s captivating story and iconic imagery,” said Netflix’s Unscripted Originals and Acquisitions Vice President Brandon Riegg. “We’re grateful for his support as we turn the fictional world into reality in this massive competition and social experiment.”
The casting call is open to English-language speakers from anywhere in the world. Those who are interested can sign up via the show’s casting website for a chance to compete. The series, which will be filmed in the U.K., is a co-production between Studio Lambert and The Garden.
Netflix hyped up its announcement with a short teaser on YouTube that has since racked up over 1.2 million views.
News about the new reality show comes days after Netflix confirmed that “Squid Game,” the streaming giant’s most popular series of all time, has been renewed for a second season.

S2 2 eps deep. It’s mostly #456 trying to track down the game. He’s got the prize money so he’s got resource, including a makeshift bunker/fortress and a fully stocked armory (but no cash for dental anesthesia) and he’s rallying troops. Some new characters are developing their backstories too. 

It’s ok. I’m expecting more from e3 because the games begin.
