Came across this listing on the library site while looking for something else. Clearly they need DM's editorial help.

You'd think after all my years handling sharps that I wouldn't cut myself anymore. But no.

I had to cut ties off a pallet shipment of tiles on Tuesday. With my mom's house being prepped for the great reconstruction, the knife I found was an old buck-style folder from some hunting group (I have no idea where I got this - had it for years). It's actually a nice knife. Well fitting, solid. The brassy caps are tinged green with oxidation, but I was thinking of cleaning it and making it my new EDC (I stopped carrying EDCs late last year because I was going through too many metal detectors). It could use a sharpening, but it's got good action. Too good. I was closing it with both hands and it snapped shut, cutting my left hand flipping off finger close to the nail bed. It'a about a 1 cm cut, not deep but bled all over.

Bother.

You’d think that, but you would be wrong — just like I am wrong about that a couple times/month.

I didn’t choose the Stabby Life, the Stabby Life chose — Oh, shit! I *did* choose the Stabby Life!

Well, fuck.
