So today I had lunch with Daniel Wu. We’ve been trying to get together since January but with my mom’s situation, scheduling was impossible. He lost his mom to cancer a few years ago after a long chain of horrid medical emergencies that began after she fell at his wedding, so he completely understood. I met him at his private garage where he restores vintage cars and stores them. He’s got 5 cars there - including the legendary Tanto and a brand new cherry red porsche. We had lunch and a long chat, just us for several hours. He’s very open with me - lots of bts tales and insights. By now, he’s boarding a plane to HK to present at the HK film awards this weekend.
Today was a good day.

I've been in this email conversation with Laurie Anderson and her circle about this event she's planing - the Lou Reed Tai Chi Day - and I just noticed that one of the other people in the conversation is Suzanne Vega. Remember her? She did a killer version of Stay Awake which remains my fav of her songs.
Vega still uses AOL.

I wonder if she does Tai Chi. I should follow up but I don't want to sound like a fanboy. Honestly, it took me a moment before I connected who she was. I'm a fanboy of Laurie and I respect Suz but I was never that into her sound. I was more trippin on her still using aol.
