Actress Ngo Thanh Van, also known as Veronica Ngo, stars in “The Creator,” an upcoming sci-fi action thriller movie about the fight between human beings and artificial intelligence.
The movie’s second trailer, released on July 17, reveals more background information about Van’s character Kami.
Set in a post-apocalypse world, "The Creator" revolves around a human special agent force that has been formed to hunt and shut forces of AI down. Kami is a member of the force, and is expected to have a lot of action scenes.

After her film "Thanh Soi" (Furies) didn’t perform as well as expected, Van revealed that she was focusing on international projects. She has finished shooting "The Old Guard 2," in which she co-stars with Charlize Theron.
The Vietnamese actress said she did not expect to have much screen time when starring in Hollywood pictures. Instead, she was happy working with global professional stars and international crews.
Van moved to Norway with her mother when she was 16, before returning to Vietnam and starting her career in the entertainment industry in 1999.
She has appeared in various domestic and Hollywood movies, including "Dong Mau Anh Hung" (The Rebel), "Bay Rong" (Clash), "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny," and "Star Wars: The Last Jedi."
In 2015, she started working as a movie producer.
"The Creator" is set to premiere on September 29.
