Yoga done. A great session followed by a quick Verve bump.
Now I've got a little time to work or do some trip prep, which are kinda the same at this point.

My mom has an appt with a nurse from her insurence in a few hours. The nurse will visit the facility and I'll be present for moral support. Then home from this heat wave, back to my cool seaside town. Big push to get ahead of work for next week.

I'll just suffer from the heat. Hoping we'll get a half day off since tomorrow is a holiday, but no word yet. Maybe an 11am meeting, but no one has emailed about it so I'm not sure. Headed to Rasputin at lunch.

We went to the store and the AC in my car gave out on the way back. At first I thought it just couldn't keep up since it was so hot, but then hot air started coming out of the vents. Have to take it in Friday morning.

Just finished the two hour round trip to Clovis/Fresno to hand over Buckley. They had a volunteer who retired after 40 years with the center but she comes back for reason and that is Western Screech Owls. Buckley is a Western Screech Owl. He has a broken clavicle. Fingers crossed.

Happy what might be our last Independence Day. We just did a 5 mile hike at Nisene in hopes of wearing Yuki out. That plus some CBD treats is our plan for the fireworks tonight. I’m just going to lounge about for the rest of the day. Maybe finish my Cherry Garcia ice cream.

I'm still sore from this morning's yoga. Spent most of today getting my ducks* in a row for my trip, dealing with a parking ticket, sorting my flights, and getting details straight to some of my contacts at Shaolin. Listening to the Solid Foundation on KKUP, a reggae show I've tuned in for years. It's calming.
*it's never 'ducks'

Going to get a rental car, then hitting the used bookstore, and a haircut later. Possibly a quick trip to IKEA for a shelf.
