RE: COVID-19 - Drunk Monk - 01-18-2022 https://special.usps.com/testkits get your 4 free test kits here not really free our tax dollars at work RE: COVID-19 - Greg - 01-18-2022 I got mine through covidtests.gov which I think defaults to the same site. Already ordered. Should I test them out to see if they work or do I save them? Although, tQ has four kits already. RE: COVID-19 - cranefly - 01-18-2022 Thanks, DM. Just ordered a 4-pack. LCF ordered some a couple days ago, not sure from where, but coming via Fed-Ex. We figure they'll reach us too late for testing this incident. LCF feels much better. My nose feels a bit moist, but nothing else, and still have good energy. On reflection LCF thinks she might've picked something up over at the school -- the one that Stacy allegedly attended. They've got a nice new track, and though LCF hates running in circles on a circular track, it's convenient and ideal for after-dark workouts (well-lit). But it was uncomfortably crowded last week, and LCF thinks that that might have done it. RE: COVID-19 - Drunk Monk - 01-20-2022 RE: Harry Mok. His son just posted this: Quote:As of Saturday my father had to be intubated on a ventilator. His oxygen levels in his blood were getting dangerously close to 50%. That morning also showed signs of internal bleeding. Saturday was a very scary and serious day, my dad went through 4 cardiac arrests, his lungs collapsed, he needed surgery to find and stop the internal bleeding. His condition was critical with moderate fall risk. All family has gathered for the worst. RE: COVID-19 - Greg - 01-21-2022 Bumped into our neighbor while out walking the dogs. She now has had Covid for the third time.... RE: COVID-19 - King Bob - 01-21-2022 But it's not real RE: COVID-19 - Greg - 01-21-2022 tQ was talking to the neighbor while I stayed far away and I think the neighbor said she just got vaccinated. RE: COVID-19 - King Bob - 01-21-2022 Three infections sounds a bit unlikely. Is she crazy? RE: COVID-19 - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 01-21-2022 If she's not vaxxed and got an early start, it's possible. RE: COVID-19 - Drunk Monk - 01-21-2022 Our old sjsu Salle D’asaro teammate Rann just posted that he’s got Covid. I don’t think I mentioned that our YMAA IT guy who is in Portugal had to excuse himself from out Thurs meetings because some family members got it and he was making sure they were supplied for the 10 day quarantine. I had a bit of a headache this morning and got paranoid but in retrospect it was just a little hungover. Not that I drank a lot - I’m just out of practice. RE: COVID-19 - cranefly - 01-22-2022 LCF just got test results back. Negative. So we're no longer wearing masks indoors, and I'm no longer sleeping on the opium couch. But she was only tested on the 5th or 6th day from the start of symptoms, so the verdict is still out, and will stay out until one of those "potentially dangerous" Statue of Liberty-sized asteroids slams into Earth. Which will happen never, bless those fear-mongering click-bait journalists. [Commentary on the current state of the news brought to you by Kellogg's Corn Flakes.] RE: COVID-19 - Drunk Monk - 01-23-2022 Always reassuring to get a neg test, amirite? Just heard one of the producers of Man at Arms came up positive. Here's his comment: Quote:Worked and traveled safely through the majority of the pandemic, took all the precautions, masks, quarantining, vaccinated, and I was all well and good...until I had to go to Dallas, Texas. I guess Calvin was right to pee on their logo. RE: COVID-19 - Drunk Monk - 02-04-2022 A Kung Fu classmate just got out of quarantine. He and his wife got it but not his kid. He said it was just a scratchy throat and some minor sinus issues. He’s one of the younger guys, a little younger than me, and strong, arguably one of the students in the best physical shape. He’s a lawyer that owns his own firm and mostly takes on community issues related to enforcement, incarceration and the underserved. RE: COVID-19 - Drunk Monk - 02-22-2022 My mom just told me two of my cousins got the Rona and recovered. They are my Doc cousins, who we used to join for T-day with Derick, who died last November ( http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomForum/showthread.php?tid=6648 ) My mom said they have recovered and that one suffered greatly and one not so much, but she wasn't sure who. They were vaccinated for sure. They are probably in their 80s now. They retired to a gated community with a golf course. He loves golf and he might have gone pro if he applied himself to that instead of medicine. Their daughter is a doctor too. Their other daughter died mysteriously. RE: COVID-19 - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 02-22-2022 Two friends of mine (not you lot) got break-through Omigodicron infections. She seems to be fully recovered, his resting heart rate is still 10 bpm higher than normal and heart-rate spikes wake him up, so he is not sleeping well. |
