My response is odd as well so I completely understand.
Word from the hospital is she has just straight Covid, not Covid pneumonia. I am waiting on my update from my sister.

Back to pneumonia. It's hard to get information. She also has.....Sepsis. She probably won't be released tomorrow.

Sepsis? Where? Hiow? I thought that was usually associated with a perforated bowel or something. You can get that with pneumonia?

She's not mobile in her day-to-day life, so staph from ingrown hair on her leg, "bed-sore", and the like can really get outta control. My older brother had staff infection on his leg that went septic. Almost lost the leg.
I was in hospital for 3 days with a staph infection inside my thumb. No sepsis, but only cuz of fast response. Sepsis is easier to get than you think

Sepsis can result from a variety of precursors. When I came back with cellulitis from my ‘96 Shaolin trip, sepsis was a possible outcome if I hadn’t been treated quickly.

There are myriad problems floating around in my mother. She had infection earlier, probably UTI, that had two different types of bacteria. I think one of them was really hard to treat. So here we are.
