Not anymore.
The first time I climbed half dome as a teen, there was a thunder shower on our way back. They evac everyone one off over to north dome because half dome always gets hit and the way up or down is metal cables. Those rides were free.
Not sure what they do now but emergency chopper rides are pricey. Besides, they’d never find us in time.

Two weeks ago, I went to Kaiser Fresno so they could photograph the veins in the back of my eyeball. The smaller the veins the more havoc Diabetes makes with them. The eyeball veins are pretty tiny and they also control how well your eyes function. That's why blindness is of the results of longterm diabetes.
Happy to say my photographs came back super cool and there are no problems at this time.
