S02Ep01 More witcheriness. The Queen and I couldn't remember where we left off so watched the Season one recap to get up to speed. That was a pointless exercise. We were just as confused after watching it. But it's Geralt. It's Yennifer. It's the blond kid. This was kind of a standalone episode with a strong Beauty and the Beast theme running through it with the Witcher ending up at the Beast's Home. Some good monster battle scenes. Nice story telling.
And I realized one of the problems I have with World of Time as compared to The Witcher. There's a lot of grit in The Witcher. People are dirty. Places looked lived in. There is atmospheric lighting. The Wheel of Time looks like it's fresh out of the box. Every set is clean and new without any texture.

Like those lovely Lynchs I kinda forgot what happened at the end of S1. I too watched the recap and was unhelped. But once this Ep got rolling, it didn’t matter. I liked the monsters a lot. Beast was well done all around. And beauty, her eyes and twitchiness worked well, plus some exorcist head spinning and slider ceiling crawling. That was cool. I also liked the witch touching the battle fallen and seeing their deaths through their eyes. And the landmark harpooning of Yennifer’s captors wasn’t good.
An entertaining s2 premiere and a promising start.

Ep03 and Ep04 Yeah, I don't know what the hell is going on. Geralt and Ciri are spending an inordinate amount of time at the Witcher castle where Ciri trains to be a fighter. Meanwhile Yennifer is caught be the elves and then escapes from the elves. She returns to sorceress headquarters where she gets into trouble. There is something going on with the main Elven group as they struggle to get a homeland. It's a bit of a muddle and too many storylines to keep track of. Or maybe I'm just slow.

E2 was okay. I like the Witcher castle. Glad to hear they’ll be there for a while.
I fell asleep and woke to tentacles. Well, tentacular roots. I missed a bit and went back for it because I was mad I fell asleep.
Enjoying this show - not thinking about it too hard. I like Cavill’s gravelly voice and Yen is hawt. Plus … swords and monsters … with tentacles!

Tree tentacles. Yennifer is very hot. They teased a naked hot tub scene but then shot everyone from the neck up.
