Walnut pizza? - Drunk Monk - 12-16-2009

Which pizza establishments offer walnuts as a topping? That's all I want to know now.

Re: Best pizza? - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 12-17-2009

Same as offer "tofu" as a topping - the really sad ones.

He probably wants your pizza nuts because he couldn't get a hold of your cheese balls at the latest gathering.

Re: Best pizza? - thatguy - 12-29-2009

Still waiting for ED to name the pizza establishment. I think it was mentioned at the gathering, but I have no memory for that kind of stuff...

walnut pizza was one of the better food discoveries of 2009.

Re: Best pizza? - El Dingo - 12-30-2009

Oops - sorry.

Extreme Pizza. The original is on Divisidero in S.F. I make it a ritual to grab a slice or two there before a Fillmore show.

Thanks! - Drunk Monk - 12-31-2009

I'll do that too next time I'm up there.

Re: Best pizza? - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 01-04-2010

Do not go to the Extreme Pizza on Folsom St.: It is bad pizza; tried them twice personally and they seem to have forgotten where they hid the spices. Had confirmation from some others in the 'hood. I have heard many good things about the one on Fillmore, however.

extreme pizza busted! - Drunk Monk - 02-04-2011

This is so lame. So very very lame.

(02-03) 15:56 PST SAN RAFAEL -- The manager of an Extreme Pizza restaurant in San Rafael and another man who used to work there were arrested Thursday for allegedly defacing a competing pizzeria with spray paint, police said.

It all started shortly after 3 a.m. when Gina Gochez, the co-owner of Pizza Orgasmica at 812 Fourth St., called police to report that someone was spray-painting the front of her building, said Margo Rohrbacher, a police spokeswoman.

The vandal used black spray paint to scrawl dollar signs and such phrases as, "Go home," said co-owner Taylor Maia, Gochez's husband. A misspelled "No Orgiasmica" was sprayed on the brick wall of a sushi restaurant next door.

Within minutes, officers arrived and found two men near Fourth and Cijos streets tossing spray-paint cans and latex gloves in a trash bin, Rohrbacher said.

Gochez identified Timothy Tucker, 32, the manager of Extreme Pizza at 703 Fourth St., as the vandal, police said. The second suspect, Sean Clymer, 26, is a former Extreme Pizza employee, authorities said.

The two pizza shops are 300 feet apart.

"It's a really dirty game, a really childish thing," Maia said. "We're here, working hard to employ people and making something better, create a different environment for people, and some people do this to us."

Todd Parent, founder and CEO of Extreme Pizza, said, "In no way does Extreme Pizza condone the selfish, reckless and thoughtless actions of the two individuals who were arrested."

Parent said the vandals "were acting on their own accord without any respect for their competitor, their fellow employees and the local community."

Tucker and Clymer were booked at Marin County Jail on suspicion of felony vandalism. Clymer was also arrested for allegedly being drunk in public. Bail for each was set at $10,000.

Jakes again - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 07-15-2011

I'm glad Jake's is so far away. But I'm always glad when I go there. Too glad. Like today, for instance.
