How much does it look like an outhouse? Will you sing in it?

TQ has abandoned me to celebrate her mom's 85th birthday so it's movie marathon week. Tonight, I'm diving in to Oppenheimer. I wish Poor Things and Napoleon were out.

You really get me.

That's one of the best parts of that movie.

I tested positive again this morning but the line was very faint. I slept well with no fever so I should show negative tomorrow.

Right? He was my fav character, apart from Truly Scrumptious, who I still have a crush on. It’s the lost James Bond film.

Wonderful news. Now what were you doing with Greg’s mom?

Too soon?

Sunday is yoga, laundry, and maybe trying the new brunch place that just opened down the street.

RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 02-19-2024

Two telemeets and the carpenters are supposed to come to finish the sauna. It’s supposed to be raining so we’ll just see how that goes.

Didja try the new brunch place?

Thank you, Doctor, for sticking to what is important.

We did. It was nice. They’ve only had a soft opening so their menu is still small but we’ll go back. I got their roasted sweet potatoes and regretted not adding an egg. Next time. Decent coffee, great service, The Midway (my hood is rebranding as ‘Midtown’).

By coincidence we ran into an old friend of mine who used to work at MQ6. She’s in our hood but we seldom cross paths. We sat at the window facing the street and as we were chatting, some crazy street person punched the window with all his might. Lucky he didn’t break the glass. It was disturbing.

Happy prez day btw. Anyone get this off?

Oddly, yes: The Stab Shack is closed today. First time in 20 years. JO's weekend is wrapping up & not enough personnel to make things go.

I'm still going into the shop, but I'll finish at a civilized hour and it will seem like a vacation.
