Speaking of which... - Drunk Monk - 04-18-2017 I've been having major tingling in my palms for some time now. I've gone through a complete blood panel, RSI tests, and an EMG. Nerve conductivity tests are unpleasant - they basically electrocute all your funny bones in your arms making your hands jump like a dead frog on a dissection platter. It was amusing at first but grew tiresome when the shocks got upwards of several dozen. Turns out my nerves are good - better than most. My diabetes is too minor for neuropathy. My grip strength is good and it's not an artifact of my arthritis because that's unilateral and this is bilateral. I'm told if symptoms continue, to pursue more tests. Yeah, right. Woohoo! - Greg - 04-18-2017 Mystery illness, for the win! Nerves are fun. I have dead patch on my left thigh. The doctor gave it a cool name, but I can't remember it. It could have been caused by years of wearing a tool belt which pinched off that nerve at the hip bone. getting on my nerves... - Drunk Monk - 04-18-2017 Can we name it then? Your dead patch, I mean. I nominate 'Bartholomew'. Bartholomew the dead patch on Greg's left thigh. I have a dead patch too... ...in my ![]() No - Greg - 04-18-2017 It has some cool medical name the neurologist gave it ending in 'sia' like all the cool neurologist names. So, when I'm at parties, I can say I have neuroastemisia or something, and people can all be awed by the cool problem I have that a neurologist gave a name to. so says the neurologist who can't find anything.. - Drunk Monk - 04-18-2017 Those party guests would be more impressed if you called in Bartholomew. But back to ME, because it's all about ME. I was thinking I should change my DOOMoniker to Tingle Palms, but it made me melancholy for my late dog, Jingle Pom. Plus Tee-Pee ain't the greatest initials. Better than Erectile-Dysfunction, I suppose. But we all bow down to Pee-Pee-eFf-whY. RE: I'm more broken than you - Greg - 04-18-2017 Are these posts the first signs that your are in brain melt mode from planning for the upcoming tournament,Tingle Palms? melted is better - Drunk Monk - 04-18-2017 You are realizing my brain is melted now? After all these years? Now? RE: I'm more broken than you - Greg - 04-18-2017 I thought it was like the tides with ebbs and flows. Some days or times are more melty than others. mmmm melted - Drunk Monk - 04-18-2017 It's more like the temperature. Sometimes nice and melty. Sometimes a little too chunky. Sometimes burnt to a crisp. RE: I'm more broken than you - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 04-18-2017 #1: "Bartholomew" is silly. "Sargasso of the Thigh" is much better. You're welcome. #2: "Tingle Palms"? Heh. #3: Brains are like cheese. Over to you. Burning Question - Greg - 04-19-2017 Is Tingle Palms any relation to noted homo erotic fiction author Chuck Tingle? After your days in the Mission Street windows, I figured it was a given. Chuck Tingle! you're so outed - Drunk Monk - 04-19-2017 (04-19-2017, 10:58 AM)Greg Wrote: Is Tingle Palms any relation to noted homo erotic fiction author Chuck Tingle? After your days in the Mission Street windows, I figured it was a given. Only you would know this author. Well, maybe CF too. And it was SOMA and a PPFY thing. You lived at Castle Highland. Surely you understand. CAUGHT! - Greg - 04-19-2017 You still didn't answer the question, so I'm going to assume yes. Actually, Mr. Tingle achieved fames several years back when they tried to game the voting system at the Hugos and his name came up and got on the ballot to win a Hugo. How afar afield are we at this point? Maybe I should talk about my psoriasis some more. Not far enough afield yet for me! - cranefly - 04-19-2017 Greg, when is Bartholomew Sargasso's birthday? I'm going to send him a tuxedo-band-aid so he's the best-dressed person wherever you go. Stay on target. STAY ON TARGET! - Greg - 04-19-2017 I'm pretty sure BS was born in the summer of his 27th year. He came home to a place he'd never been before. He left yesterday behind. You might say he was born again. And again. |
