Did the triple too. Regretted it.

Good luck with that reboot. Fingers crossed for ya.

The worst shot was still the Shingles Vaccine

Word. That one kicked my large ass.

RE: Sheltering in Place - King Bob - 10-24-2023

I got the second shingles and the flu shot at the same time and that wiped me out. The first shingles was fine, just a really sore arm.

And I run Photoshop and Illustrator on Mac all the time with no problems. The newer versions work well.

Tomorrow I work a bit, then head over to my mom’s to help her with a financial phone call, then possibly a bank visit, then maybe work a bit more, then a hair appointment with Jennifer - it’ll be my first face-2-face with her since her mom died, then home for more work, then maybe the dog park, then Annika.

RE: Sheltering in Place - King Bob - 10-25-2023

I'm actually heading over to Campbell tomorrow as well - to get my blood drawn at Kaiser.

RE: Sheltering in Place - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 10-26-2023

Did the double today. Just outside of Barstow, the drugs began to take hold.

Can’t stop here. This is Bat Country.

RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 10-26-2023

DIY - Gimme a break. What do you even know about the bats? Your biggest dose ever has been a fistful of ibuprofen (but you do have a mighty big fistful). Hope your sides are minimal and don’t let your students stab you in the deltoid.

KB - how much blood did they draw? What are they looking for?

Today is a triple telemeet day. Stacy & Yuki went to SF so I’m left to my own devices all day. Then iai later.

RE: Sheltering in Place - King Bob - 10-26-2023

It's just the annual one where they check for diabetes, cholesterol etc. so not too much blood. I still have plenty.

RE: Sheltering in Place - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 10-26-2023

The sides waited until I was done with both gigs and dinner. The fever hit at 1:30am. I bundled up, ventured further into Bat Country, and was asleep after 2:00.

Clear head but stiff muscles today…that might just be a normal Thursday, though.

KB, how much is “plenty”?

Sure, now they tell us.

Quote:Getting flu and COVID shot together still reasonable amid safety review of potential stroke risk: Experts
Older adults who received last year’s COVID booster and a high-dose version of the flu vaccine in the same visit may have a potential increased risk of stroke, according to a new FDA-funded study.

Experts urged that the results were preliminary and may be explained by other factors such as the fact that older adults are already at a higher risk for stroke due to their age.
"There is no need for panic, and emphatically no need to stop giving COVID and flu shots at the same time to older adults," said Dr. Peter Chin-Hong, an infectious diseases specialist at the University of California, San Francisco, while he reiterated that more research is needed.

The results were also not yet peer-reviewed, meaning it hasn't been vetted in the normal scientific process.

RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 10-27-2023

Well crap. I’m high stroke risk, again from my dad, which is why I take a BP Med. Water under the bridge now…

Friday work with YMAA & Immortal Shaolin telemeets. I’ll probably take the Immortal Shaolin one at the dog park. Stacy hired some workers to take down our shed. She plans to replace it with a sauna. Because that’s what millionaires do.

It’s cold today. My newly shorn locks expose my neck and ears making it colder. Glad I didn’t shave (the thought crossed my mind with the abbot’s visit next week). But it was good to check in with Jennifer.

RE: Sheltering in Place - King Bob - 10-27-2023

At work today and there's a student using one of the computers in my office, which annoys me. And I've got someone in for an exam at 10 which will also annoy me. After that all should be quiet and I can go to the library and the post office.

RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 10-28-2023

Student seem so annoying but they pay the bills, right? Kinda like readers and customers for me.

Or not.

Today is Kung Fu, then costuming up for tonight’s Halloween masquerade with the China Cats. Downtown Cruz should be popping for Halloween weekend. I’m excited.

RE: Sheltering in Place - Greg - 10-28-2023

To the creek. I have to move all the branches I chopped off yesterday. And avoid the poison oak.
