RE: Doom Dogs - Greg - 07-07-2023 Well, looks we are going to need a new love seat. Or at least a good upholsterer. RE: Doom Dogs - Drunk Monk - 07-08-2023 Yuki’s ears are completely clear. One of my dog park friend’s had to deal with a major foxtail recently so we were worried. Looks like it’s just allergies again so he got another allergy shot. That worked well last time. He so hates the vet. He was shaking just like the 4th. I’ve seen him shake more this last week then ever. Poor pup. RE: Doom Dogs - Greg - 07-25-2023 Wearing out the dogs continues to remain exhausting. RE: Doom Dogs - Drunk Monk - 07-25-2023 If you get another puppy, it'll tire out the other two for you. RE: Doom Dogs - Greg - 07-25-2023 You are not a helper. RE: Doom Dogs - Drunk Monk - 07-25-2023 Helper is just enabler with dyslexia. RE: Doom Dogs - Greg - 07-27-2023 Maeve no longer goes on the long walks because they would probably take 5 or 6 hours for her to cover the four miles. She seems fine with that. After I finish the big walk, I go on a shorter walk around the neighborhood just for her. Today, Maeve met me at the front door when I was putting the leashes on Trouble and Turmoil. I guess she was tired of being left out. She followed us down the street to the end of the court. I then turned around and brought her home. Maeve's spirit was will but her flesh was weak. Maeve has begun to tolerate the new dogs, Aoife more than Lily. Lily gets barked at constantly because Lily attacked Maeve twice when Lily first came to the house. RE: Doom Dogs - Greg - 08-07-2023 I just learned that Lyndon Johnson had a dog named Yuki. Found her at a gas station. Was never there. RE: Doom Dogs - Drunk Monk - 08-07-2023 ![]() RE: Doom Dogs - Greg - 08-08-2023 From the FB timeline today. ![]() RE: Doom Dogs - Drunk Monk - 08-10-2023 Our backyard neighbor who lost his two dogs earlier this year ( http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomForum/showthread.php?tid=693&pid=63146#pid63146 ) just got two new dogs. Two female frenchys. A black one like Nacci (thought it was spelled Notchy because she had a notch in her ear but no) - that one is named Bella. And a white one with black spots named Lisa. We've introduced them to Yuki and Yuki has been territorial. It's been a process. Yuki could have two new girlfriends, Yuki's bitches, but it's all about having the better place to pee for him. Hopefully he'll mellow out. He's pretty good with other dogs usually, but he's had the yard to himself for several months now. He likes being king. And he could destroy both frenchies because he's bigger and likes to play rough. Frenchies are like Poms. Not normal dogs. Kinda more like pigs shaped like dogs by the way they snort. Our neighbor Luigi is super happy now. He's a dog person all the way and shared how both dogs slept on either side of him last night (yesterday was his gotcha day). RE: Doom Dogs - Greg - 08-11-2023 You know what is fast? Aoife let off the leash in the back of the property for the first time. Aoife wins this round. The trail behind the house isn't the best of trails but it's even harder when you have 40lb dog dragging you down, especially when you get to the steps near the bottom. I spend the entire walk looking where I place my feet while I drag Aoife back on the leash. Last night I had enough. I just dropped the leash. She was off like she was shot from a cannon. But she wasn't off and gone, she was up and back across the trail. Lily was let go, too, but she stayed pretty much with us. Best of all, with the lure of chicken treats, Aoife would come back. And when she did, she was exhausted and very easy to control on the leash. |
