Just got a note from the accountant. His partner, assistant, fellow accountant, went on a bender back at tax time failing to file about 90 extensions and other tax returns. They are still trying to straighten everything out. Which is terrible but also BS, because he never informed me of this until just now rather than when it happened two months ago.

Why are fire alarms so damn hard to turn off nowadays? There was one beeping randomly here at my mom’s. It had one of those built in 10 year batteries. I couldn’t get it to stop and was so frustrated that I was tempted to smash it but it’s new and we’ll likely need it for another inspection so I tossed it in the fridge which is in the garage during construction. So annoying.

I had to get rid of one of those ten year ones because it kept going off. You couldn't turn it off at all.

Woke up from a nightmare about Mango Mussolini and decided to think about my tax situation. Or more accurately, the Antarctic sister's tax situation. She currently owes $50K in taxes and penalties and I know who she blames.

It was a struggle staying awake on the ride up and back despite my marquis energy drinks (which I confess I am now addicted to) and a protein coffee drink. I’ll sure pass out as soon as I put my phone down, despite my post show glow.

So much fuel for the hamster wheel in my head. First, there is ongoing tax anger that can't be sated. Then there is the sprinkling of hope about a festival that is throwing off my equilibrium. Externally, I had Lily wandering around the bedroom delivering low woofs that usually presage loud barking. All and all it was a great time between 2am and 3am.
