DAY 69: 69 is one of my favorite numbers, but not for the prurient implication. I like the look of it and I placed 69th at Nationals on that epic Salle Namenehman trip.

I got nothing today.

Still sorting the Kanopy search engine. It does seem to be a good library, especially for classics, but finding them is laborious.

I practiced armored self-distancing by getting out of town on my motorcycle. Fog to sun back to fog again. I don’t think that will come up again for a while as it looks like the world is slowly emerging from hibernation.

LCF and I were planning to get tested at a mobile station at Rengstorff Park a couple days ago.  But the website was vague about who should be tested, and had a link to another site for further info on who should get tested.  The two websites didn't really jive in that respect.  But in all caps there was this note: WE WILL NOT BE TESTING FOR ANTIBODIES.

Anyway, since we don't have any symptoms that appear COVID-19 related, we decided not to clog the system.

Just yesterday LCF heard from a friend who went there.  A bit of a wait, but well organized, with people wearing masks and standing in line with six feet separation.  The only real glitch was when a guy without a mask showed up to be tested.  He refused to wear one, proclaiming, "I'm a free 'Mericun!"  Not certain how it was handled.  Likely accepted in full cringe mode, due to the thug at the top.

DAY 71: I'm actually going to do some work today. Like work I get paid for. So refreshing. I'm watching the screener for the interview next Monday and putting some things together for iMort.

'free 'Mericun'  Dodgy

'Freedom's just another word for nothing left to lose.'

2nd day in a row that we've had no postal service. We've been expecting some important documents plus it has messed up our netflix dvds to the point where we are questioning if it's even worth it anymore.

I dunno, man. Things are getting so bad. Pandemic, unemployment, postal collapse, riots. Gone past so many breaking points already. This darkness got to give...

There's got to be a morning after
If we can hold on through the night
We have a chance to find the sunshine
Let's keep on looking for the light

RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 05-31-2020

Day 72: I got nothing today really. Laundry. Maybe chip on my work tasks a little more.

I should go out. Maybe a hike.

RE: Sheltering in Place - King Bob - 05-31-2020

But I and I hang on in there
I and I, I no let go

RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 05-31-2020

Went on that hike - 4.5 miles 36 floors - it was just what I needed.

Didn't do much about tomorrow's interview question-wise but had some technical difficulties that needed to be resolved. That stressed me out because I'm really hoping this piece goes well. It could open up more freelance work so I really want to nail this one.

Ate a tub of guac and chips. Feeling a little bloated but satisfied.

day 73: Another work day. How refreshing. I have a phoner this afternoon and need to finish up that iMort task for tomorrow.

RE: Sheltering in Place - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 06-01-2020

Just got official word that club will reopen on June 15 for "Summer Camps". 9 weeks, many restrictions, but it is a go. Main restriction is no more than 12 campers per session. Tentative plan is 3 sessions/day, 7 days/week. Sessions broken down by age groups .

Yesterday I ran a coaching clinic in San Jose, and moving/teaching while wearing a mask-in-a-mask is a big pain.

Begging the question - Does the mask match the knickers?

Good news that your summer camps are go.

Methinks Halloween could get downright uncomfortable...
