Power out twice today. The batteries said," So?"

The Flip side of having solar power.

Saturday, I'm watching a movie and it cuts out. Odd. Then about five minutes later, it cuts out again. And again. I was basically living in a time loop trying to watch this movie. I eventually determined that it was a problem with solar battery back up inverter. The inverter would try to connect to the power grid and then for no reason, the inverter would disconnect. Rinse and repeat. As I mentioned in my sleep deprivation mode, I was up all night thinking about it and wondering if I would have the batteries to make it through the day.

The Inverter seemed to right itself for about two hours on Sunday Easter morning, but then the inverter went back to its cycle of connect and disconnect. Since I had a local guy install the system, I called him. I felt bad because it was Sunday and it was Easter, but he returned my call. He got in touch with the people who make my inverter, Sol-Ark, and Sol-Ark said they were going to push an update to my system in the hopes of fixing the problem. Yes, I do have an app on my phone to monitor my solar system which is something Sol-Ark can do remotely. The is was also how I knew my Inverter kept disconnecting because the app kept pushing messages saying the Inverter had disconnected or connected to the grid.

About two minutes after the update went through, I got a message saying the Inverter had disconnected from the Grid. My solar power guy called and said he was going to come over and physically attach me to the power grid so I wouldn't have to wonder about power until they could troubleshoot the problem. Best of all, five other people in the area were having a similar problem so it behooves Sol-Ark to solve this problem. Misery does love company. My local solar guy was going to all these house on Easter to attach people to the power grid.

Hopefully they resolve the issue today so I can go back to being one of the cool solar power kids.

Just spent an absurd amount of money on a new oven. We had a microwave/oven combo where the microwave part died several years ago and we just started using a counter top model in its stead. Looking at the microwave yesterday, I thought I might be able to just replace the microwave unit without replacing the whole thing. Investigation proved that to be a false hope. I broke down. I replaced the entire unit.

I hope it comes with built in AI.

I'm tracking a shipment of paving stones that I ordered from South Carolina. They are currently sitting in Kettleman City. I wonder what's being done to them there? Should I worry?

I hear they lay their eggs in pavers.

Yesterday was spectacularly crappy here at the Lair. It started with the Aoife-Skunk encounter which necessitated the full peroxide bath. At the ophthalmologist appointment, I was told my Glaucoma in my right getting worse quickly and I need to come back for another appointment in August to really gauge the rapidity of the degradation.

When I arrived home, I noticed a missed text from the Queen. She had heard that my friend Lyndell passed away after surgery. I'm in a bit of fog from that news.
