Maybe it's the harmonic convergence.
The bow tie is basically the same as tying your shoes. It's harder because the angle is different. As for a regular tie, I invented a knot of my own that gives a less bulky knot than the Windsor, and doesn't look lopsided like the half Windsor. No doubt someone else already invented it, but I've never seen it.

I thought the harmonic convergence happened years ago. And it was out of tune.

I suppose. It starts back then but only gets funny to me post Copernicus. After him, instead Of admitting the mistake of galactic proportions, it became this weird astrological zone. So that’s medieval or early renn, right?

that's the one I learned from...it's been so long, I've forgotten. I suspect it's easier if you just close your eyes and do it.
