RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 04-06-2023

I am sad I had no salmon yesterday

990-307: Two telemeets then off to Lucidity in Santa Barbara…

The Salmon of Doubt.

The Salmon of Reason

RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 04-10-2023

994-311: Slowly putting my head back together for the default world. There was a big kerfuffle at YMAA (a few actually) and I've got some errands like laundry and such. My eyes aren't focusing properly and my head is still ringing from Lucidity. Doing my best not to snap. Transition back to the default world is always unpleasant. Post fest blues are real...

Well today sucked. YMAA had several major implosions - problems I couldn’t solve and annoying coworkers who thought I could for some unknown reason. Meanwhile house painters came to strip foliage and power wash. So distracting when I could barely focus already. Then they killed our star jasmine and put some of our porch belongings out in our yard next to a pile of free stuff whilst we were at the dog park. Stacy came home just in time to reclaim some stuff that people were trying to take.

Can I go back to Lucidity please? Life was good there…

995-312: Early morning telemeet, work, then over to svale. Gotta get past these post fest blues…

Probably not the time to say “Merc in Ret”, huh?

You'd be early. It goes back into Ret on 4/21

995-312: Clean up here then go to Wells Fargo and try to sort an alleged safety deposit box which I didn't know we had (we may not) and I'm trying to find the key (if we do). Then home but I'm not sure what's happening because the painters were still cleaning when I left yesterday. I think they won't start painting until Thurs, in which case, we shall vacate the bungalow until the fumes subside.

RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 04-13-2023

996-313: telemeet first thing, then we move to svale to avoid paint fumes, where I’ll take two more meetings. Then work. Might skip iaido because I’d have to come back over 17 again for it. The painting should be done by the weekend when we’ll return to the bungalow.

RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 04-14-2023

997-314: Still at my mom's. Stacy has been occupying herself with some much needed cleaning of this house. Yuki is playing with a ball he found. I'm working remotely, like always. TC has been pounding me with last minute TCEC stuff - typical - ordinarily I'd be annoyed, but now I'm just sad because I can't meet all their demands due to obligations. It reminds me of a biblical quote I shared with the Yeti after our first semi-failed provost exam.

Quote:No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24

RE: Sheltering in Place - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 04-14-2023

Mammon pays way better.

RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 04-15-2023

998-315: Kung Fu, avoid fumes, settle some accounts, dog parkn.

RE: Sheltering in Place - Greg - 04-15-2023

When you settle those accounts, just remember violence isn't the answer.

RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 04-15-2023

Wot?

No.

That can’t be…

RE: Sheltering in Place - Greg - 04-15-2023

It's a way to go.

Today, the Queen and I head to downtown Raymond for the annual parade. We went last year and were drenched by a rain shower. We probably would not be attending today but I was asked to take some aerial shots with my drone.
