RE: Metallica @ Levis - Greg - 07-19-2025 Metallica rules. I don't know if you've been following the story of the Tomorrowland EDM festival in Belgium but basically their stage burned down earlier this week, a few days ahead of the start of the festival. Metallica stepped in and lent them their stage they've been using on tour in Europe. Rolling Stone Magazine Wrote:The popular EDM festival Tomorrowland in Belgium is taking place this weekend despite a massive fire that “severely damaged” the main stagejust a day before the fest was slated to begin. And, according to Martin Garrix, festival goers have Metallica to thank for Tomorrowland continuing on despite the blaze. RE: Metallica @ Levis - Drunk Monk - 07-19-2025 Been following Tomorrowland because it's a big one in the EDM world (that is a serious line-up, if you don't know). They got up to 600,000 a few years ago, post pandemic. Laidback Luke is playing there on Sunday, then he heads over to SDCC where I hope to catch him. Metallica's current soundsystem is based on four huge speaker/video towers because they do their show in the round - their stage is a giant ring where premium tickets get you in the inner circle. Those should serve Tomorrowland well. |
