But he's a bit oversaturated in the world at the moment so I might wait on reading the book. RE: The Grohl thread - Greg - 11-08-2021 Complete Grohl saturation nears. Or has the shark been jumped? RE: The Grohl thread - Drunk Monk - 01-11-2022 RE: The Grohl thread - Greg - 01-11-2022 That is going to be terrible. That would be suspicious... --tg RE: The Grohl thread - Greg - 09-03-2022 I"m currently hanging out in my office watching the Taylor Hawkins concert live from Wembley. I keep thinking I'll turn it off but then Chrissy Hynde from the Pretenders comes on and kills it. Now, I'm watching Joe Walsh and the James Gang. I also saw Josh Homme do a terrible version of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road (I think). Couldn't hit any of the high notes. RE: The Grohl thread - Greg - 09-03-2022 Sucked in. Watched pretty much the whole thing. A lot of really great performances. Both of Taylor's sons came out for a couple of songs. Of course, it's no fun watching Dave Grohl cry, but oh well. I thought they might have done Live and Let Die with McCartney but no. I need to find out who the singer was who joined the Queen section for We Will Rock You because he did a great job. A lot of the performers looked like they were having a blast being there especially Lars Ulrich and Stewart Copland. Pat Smears always looks like he's having a good time. I'm sure performances will be popping up on Youtube. Almost makes me want to go to a concert. RE: The Grohl thread - thatguy - 09-03-2022 I'm no G&R fan but I was really curious about the touring lineup with Buckethead on guitar and Tommy Stinson from The Replacements on bass. --tg RE: The Grohl thread - thatguy - 12-29-2022 https://www.tiktok.com/@delilahhkeith/video/7181796058396216582?_t=8YYVjiJBdZ0&_r=1 --tg RE: The Grohl thread - Greg - 12-30-2022 Just went through this years Hannukkah sessions. Dave only sings one song (I Love LA) and had guest singers in for the others including Pink, Jack Black, Beck and the lead singer of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The best song was "At Seventeen" by Dave's daughter Violet. If you read the comments under the video, you can see Janis Ian weighing in and thanking them for singing her song. |
