One year when we went to visit Christina's family for Thanksgiving, we got a Turkey hat and a Pie hat. Gave them to the nephews.

I got a broader brimmed hat last summer (and never posted) so I could shade my head and my face. Christina calls it the Juan Valdez.

San Francisco Hat Company comes up in my IG feed regularly. Their prices are pretty a bit high for me even on sale, but the straw hats are made here in California. You can call them and visit the factory (I think in Sausalito or thereabouts) to buy a hat which is pretty cool. They might post you on IG.

I am currently wearing the Mao/greek fisherman-ish hat that I wore back in the Number Nine days, with the dragonfly pin that Yvonne gave me and a ladybug pin. I found it in a box recently and have been bringing out from time to time. The cloth on the front of the brim is all frayed, exposing the white plastic bill a little. If I wear it backwards (which I do sometimes), it looks a bit like a beret...

Agreed.

Anything by Sid & Marty Kroft starring Charles Nelson Reilly was messed up in that disturbed WTF were we raised on? way. I’ve had H. R. Puff-n-stuff in my queue for some time now but I’m too scared to go back…
