I'm noticing pictures of visiting friends and dignitaries are now being taking in the TC Store and I'm sad. No more photos on the sound stage.

My crew is pretty much completely moved now. I put two large boxes of books into storage. The warehouse gave us a storage shelf. I found our gong - we got a gong that's like a yard across - it's behind that shelf now. I moved the plants. They are actually G2's plants, brought here by orders of some feng shui charlatan. But I've been watering them with my tea cup for over a decade now. They've been moved to the lunch room, where I hope they will be happy.
What's left? G2's crap. Huge desks all completely full, wall-hangings, tons of crap. She's going to wait until the last minute to move it. That's sure to be her play. And she'll ask us and the warehouse to do it.

I'm a bit pissed because Jason threw out one of the plants that I told him I was moving to our new space. It was the smallest one, by the door, and I even asked to secure his plant stand, which is a lovely piece, just for it. But G2 said throw it out and Jason follows orders just like a nazi or a red guard. I gotta get another plant.
I secured the autographed posters today. I still have some fake junk - old mags mostly, and T-shirts. Makes it look like I'm not quite done. But I'm so done.
The new space is weird. I'm comfy in my nook, but there's constant noises, chatter from the phones and the rumble of the embroidery machines, plus Jason is super noisy. He's been in an office alone for 19 years and doesn't realize how noisy he is - sniffling, sneezing, belching, humming, squirming. We'll start calling him out on that. He's still not nearly as noisy as G2. At least he doesn't sing, or ask random questions and then get distracted before he gets to the end of them. That'll fall on Jonny now because G2 is now in his office with him.
The TC side is untidy. I've been cleaning the men's room, which clearly hasn't been cleaned like ever. There were inches of dust on the divides and such. Dirt attracts more dirt. I wonder if the others will notice.

Actually Kevin caught me cleaning today. He thought it was amusing. But you're right - most won't notice.
We kept the bathroom on TC Media side much cleaner. But then again, we didn't have all the walk-in customers using it and there were only four of us guys, plus some of the warehouse, and a few others from TC that might sneak over occassionally. It would only get trashed when GM Tu was in town doing his seminars. His students after practice would get all - I just gotta say it - cockeyed, and miss like broken sprinklers.
G2 will have the hardest time. The TC Media women's room was like her personal bathroom. Honestly, it's more for my own benefit. I believe in hygiene, ya know? Especially where I eliminate.

Tiger Claw has decided to cease publication of Kung Fu Tai Chi. This has been a long time coming. We cannot survive the pandemic. All the schools are closed and it's TC's wholesale that pays for it. That been down nearly 80% and Jonny has been unable to secure a loan or stimulus package. A formal announcement is forthcoming.
I knew this was coming but I thought I'd survive it, but no. Our entire department will be let go except for Kevin. TC is giving us a two month grace period, starting yesterday.
Sadly, we are only two weeks away from finishing the 'final' issue, but it won't happen now. And it would've been a solid issue. I'm going to pitch a GoFundMe, but we'll see how open TC is. They are letting a lot of TC staff go too at both the CA & TN offices.
I dug out my last resume. It's so old that it doesn't have an email but it does have my graduation dates and such. At 56, I must find a new job. If anyone has any leads, please send them my way.
