... but it hadn't yet been mentioned here. LB & Syl were over for dinner last weekend, sort of a final get together before the move. There will be an intimate going away party this Saturday in Sunnyvale. If you want to crash it, let me know and I'll point share directions. Warning: it'll be mostly Rock Med night krew, a pre-party for Reggae Rising, so if you have to pee in a cup for work, bring a filter mask.

This incident had nothing to do with the infamous LB vs DM wars but it seemed a good place as any to post this. You all know I prefer to post on old threads
In all seriousness, LB's sig O, and my very dear friend Syl had a serious freak accident two weeks ago in which she nearly put out her eye. She's due in for surgery next week to reattach her retina and must remain bedridden on her belly for 10 days. She's very type A, so that's going to be quite a challenge for her. It's going to be a tough go. LB just started nursing school, but I gather that Syl's dad is in town for support. Stacy visited them last week. She said she felt Syl had accepted the worse case scenario already and is resting. I haven't touched base with LB on this yet but spoke to Syl last weekend.
