Those EE rat bastards never paid Rock Med for services rendered in 2005. Hell, it's not like they don't make a boatload of money. They could probably cover us in dollar tips. But no. Greedy whores. Stingy pimps. So we are definitaly not doing EE this year.
I'm bummed. I've been going to EE for nearly 20 years as a Rock Med volunteer. It's way too expensive to pay to go. And frankly, I wouldn't enjoy it as a patron, only as a RM volunteer. It's such a rip off, like a lap dance to a short song. Oh well. I guess I'll have to find my B&D&S&M live porn elsewhere... :butthead:

The story (as I read once in Q) was that Malcolm McLaren wanted to start a band (besides the Sex Pistols, who were the original boy band) so he hired away some or all of Adam Ant's band. Hence the similarity of sound.
I'm kind of surprised Annabella would do that show, since she's supposedly a devout Muslim now.
How were the other acts?
The only music act I caught this year was Dolby - Drunk Monk - 10-31-2006
I walked right into the main auditorium as he went into Blinded Me with Science. They had all these huge projection screens playing the old video, and a bevy of strippers who sort of acted out this scene of creating a B&D 'Miss Takamoto' robot. I thought it he sounded pretty good in a big bass funky kinda way. What a flashback. That was the musical highlight for me this year.
I totally missed Flava Flav. Some people were raving about it, but I don't know if they had any taste. I got stationed in the annex and couldn't break away for George Clinton. I saw a little on a TV monitor outside of the annex, but the sound was way too distorted. The Palacio de bovino is pretty distorted acoustically.
I got this wicked headache after midnight - been suffering from headaches recently - anyway, it totally harshed my buzz for the late hours of the evening. The headache didn't relent until the noise stopped at around 2 or 3ish.

A BP moment - Drunk Monk - 11-10-2006
So LBBP and DM take our traditional walkabout in the sex expo when the doors open and it's full of the typical weirdness. DM cops a nice free lighter with a built in beer cap opener from the genitalia bong and pipe booth and schmoozes in the Asian stripper booth. In a large booth in the back, LBBP finds a massive dildo device that looks like it belongs in an auto repair shop. It's being demonstrated by some porn star. LBBP starts staring like a deer in the headlights, muttering 'it doesn't care if you're a man or a woman. it doesn't care.' DM decides to leave LBBP at this juncture, because it's starting to look like it's going somewhere dark and scary. DM and LBBP don't catch up to each other again until it's all over. LBBP look less worse for the wear than DM, who fought off a wicked migraine in the final hours of EE, and had to hide in back on a dark sofa, away from the crowd.
There was one more extraordinary moment, but DM is thinking that should just stay at EE.
