More Tangential PotP information. I'm reading the autobiography of film editor Paul Hirsh. He edited nine of Brian De Palma's film including PotP. When they were done with the film, there lawsuits were filed against it. Universal filed. The owners of the book Phantom of the Opera. And Led Zeppelin. The first two were easily solved a name change and a production credit did the trick. But Led Zeppelins record company was called Swan Song Records. In PotP, the record company is called Swan Records. The logo is all over the film as well as the company name. Because of the lawsuit, the entire film had to be recut in order to excise any mention or depiction of Swan Records. It changed the entire depiction of the film. In the autobiography, Hirsch still mourns the loss of the film that might have been.

Les Claypool of Primus label is "Prawn Song Records", a direct parody of Swan Song Records with a matching label that swaps out the angel with a shrimp. I wonder how that endured...

Side note to your side note: Les did soundtrack music for some pornographic films...I wonder if that's where the "pr0n song records" name came from...

I have a strange need to hear that...

I haven't found anything to corroborate that yet. Nothing here:
