the new pomdoor is a success - Drunk Monk - 12-01-2008 i cannibalized glynch's design and now have a taller pomdoor that the pom actually uses. fun with the sawzall. it's not nearly as straight - especially my corner cuts - but that's what caulk is for. Re: Throwing a Rock Through the Window of Our Soul - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 12-01-2008 Kudos to you, padawan DM. I guess it's time for you to get started on that gazebo. Re: Throwing a Rock Through the Window of Our Soul - thatguy - 12-01-2008 Does the pom really need a gazebo? --tg Re: Throwing a Rock Through the Window of Our Soul - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 12-01-2008 Who would not bow at the feet of Jingles and give him all that he wants? Certainly not the DM. First clue, check for pants. as if the glynch could resist the power of the pom... - Drunk Monk - 12-01-2008 glynch was all 'it's a rat' but then who was petting pom belly? awwwww, good dog. Re: Throwing a Rock Through the Window of Our Soul - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 12-01-2008 There I was sitting on the ground surrounded by the detritus of a destroyed wall, looking for tools in the dark all for the sake of hairy tribble. Okay, there was a little scrilla involved. it was a lot of scrilla for a hole in the wall.... - Drunk Monk - 12-01-2008 ...especially when you consider it took me an entire day to do what you did in an hour or two. but still, it was fun. sawzalls are fun. tribbles don't have feet. we'll shave him down again and he'll look like an adorable husky pup again. Crap. Wait until you build the tribble Gazebo - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 12-01-2008 Mongo only does as he is told. Of course sawzalls are fun. Especially if you get the one with the folding stock. Yum. You should compare stories with the Queen. She is also deeply enamored of the sawzall. It would have been a lot quicker if I had had the sawzall with me. Grrrrrrr. How did we get from talk about Obama and broken windows to tribble portals? It just doesn't parse. it's all about crime and punishment - Drunk Monk - 12-05-2008 ED was bold enough to hang an Obama poster. He gets his window broke but Obama gets elected. DM gets a dog for his kid. He gets robbed. The Glynch cuts a hole in DM's house, insults his dog and bills him for it. Payback is a bitch, bro, a PMSing bitch with an axe. :axe: fun with power tools - The Queen - 02-11-2009 This has nothing at all to do with this thread, but it was the last place the sawzall was mentioned so.... Just wanted to post that I got to play with the sawzall today, and, strange person that I am, it really made my day. Don't know why I get such a big kick out of it. You know, there's very few things that get me away from the computer, especially when we're just two weeks from a major release and I've got nine billion projects I'm juggling. Turns out, all it takes to pry me away is the opportunity to turn tree limbs and branches into piles of sawdust and twigs.
the sawzall rocks - Drunk Monk - 02-12-2009 not rocks like the kind you throw through the window of your soul. rocks like the kind you pay someone to cut a hole in your house just to get schooled on sawzall use and in the end, you feel like you got a pretty good deal. Re: Throwing a Rock Through the Window of Our Soul - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 02-12-2009 Come on down to the Lynch Manor. Today, I'm cutting down a tree into the neighbor's yard. Plenty of sawzall work for everyone. Then there will be the concrete pouring and the routing and the board nailing and the concrete pier removal . . . . . Re: Throwing a Rock Through the Window of Our Soul - cranefly - 02-12-2009 I smell a marketing opportunity. Combination network router/sawzall Combination refrigerator/sawzall Combination bookcase/sawzall Combination hybrid car/sawzall And my guilty-pleasure favorite: Combination sawzall/sawzall Backyard update - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 02-12-2009 Greg and the Axe and the Sawzall: 1, Trees: 0. Re: Throwing a Rock Through the Window of Our Soul - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 02-13-2009 Don't get cocky; trees take the long view. Start looking over your shoulder in a a few decades. |
