RE: The Chariots of DOOM - Greg - 11-01-2025 The car is haunted. Will report more as the story develops. Today I went out to the garage to get some lawn tools and my side mirrors were opening and closing. I didn't have the key on me to start the car. (Yes, I have my car in the garage!! Yes, I have retractable side mirrors!) RE: The Chariots of DOOM - Drunk Monk - 11-01-2025 Oooooh Is it new? Or is it a reconditioned car that someone died in previously? Happy Halloween!!! RE: The Chariots of DOOM - Greg - 11-01-2025 I should probably mention I can start my car with my phone. RE: The Chariots of DOOM - King Bob - 11-01-2025 I saw an article about those car apps, and in using them you agree to let the car company harvest data from you. As I recall, opting out usually requires writing a letter. I chose to forego the app. RE: The Chariots of DOOM - Greg - 11-01-2025 Truth. RE: The Chariots of DOOM - Drunk Monk - 11-01-2025 What is the advantage of starting your car with your phone? I mean other than to warm up the getaway car in a bank heist… we’re too old such chicanery now, right? RE: The Chariots of DOOM - Greg - 11-02-2025 Gadget. Solely for the sake of gadget. Although, the car does fire up the A/C when it senses me approaching which could be beneficial on a hot day. Also, if I were to lose my keys while I was out, i would still be able to operate my car. RE: The Chariots of DOOM - Greg - 11-20-2025 Oooh, the license plates for the Starship have arrived. Time to memorize a new number. Darth Seearvy doesn’t tell me which one but I’ve determined it’s the driver side rear. The warning light triggers like every other month now and I dutifully pump it up. Did it just yesterday. The tire is relatively new. My Meta socials are now flooded with ads for a portable fire inflator that you can store in your glove compartment. The only place I’ve ever mentioned my slow leak is here which leads me to one conclusion: Meta is watching D00M RE: The Chariots of DOOM - thatguy - 12-01-2025 (12-01-2025, 05:29 PM)Drunk Monk Wrote: The only place I’ve ever mentioned my slow leak is here which leads me to one conclusion: Alternate conclusion: the meta implants are doing their job. --tg RE: The Chariots of DOOM - Drunk Monk - 12-01-2025 Is that what the new lump on my skull is? Thought it was a flea bite. RE: The Chariots of DOOM - thatguy - 12-01-2025 (12-01-2025, 06:25 PM)Drunk Monk Wrote: Is that what the new lump on my skull is? Thought it was a flea bite.
