RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 02-07-2022 Got most of those chores done. Bad day with the dog pack. One of Yuki's buddies, Finnegan the whippet pace-dog, got bit bad - two lacs, a 1" and 1.5" - the bigger one was deep and went through to the fascia. His mom took him to the vet ER immediately. A few of us confronted the owner of the offending dog - a cattle dog that's known for its aggressive behavior. He was an asshole - completely unsympathetic. 685: Got a special meeting in the morning and perhaps a video interview to conduct today with a qigong master. RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 02-09-2022 687: missed yesterday. That’s how I foresee this thread eventually ending. I neglect posting enough times that it falls off the top and I lose count. Or we all die of plague. I got nothing for these two days but woke. I also bought Stacy her birthday present and must figure out how to smuggle it into the bungalow. It’s large. RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 02-10-2022 By woke I meant work, which I try to stay woke for 688: more woke work. Kung Fu - Thursday practice has t been going well for me because I’ve been slack the rest of the week this year. Then ST: Disco starts up again tonight - from wars to trek. RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 02-11-2022 689: work including interviewing a bio energy teacher via zoom. RE: Sheltering in Place - King Bob - 02-11-2022 The morning star (Venus I guess?) has been very bright lately, and lots of stars at night. Warm this morning. At work getting things ready for students coming back Monday. I'll have to start being here full days, but I'll have Thursday remote. RE: Sheltering in Place - thatguy - 02-11-2022 bright morning stars! --tv RE: Sheltering in Place - Greg - 02-11-2022 Totally Venus. Counting stars by candlelight all are dim but one is bright The spiral light of Venus rising first and shining best On, from the northwest corner of a brand new crescent moon 690: Kung Fu but my practice has been really off over the past few weeks. I've been neglecting my daily qigong and have suffered for it. My allergies have returned and my legs are stiff and feel like lead. It's been a major downer. If my qi gets constipated, I'm miserable. It's been weeks since I've been able to express qi. Hopefully I can breakthrough today. Tonight we have tickets to the symphony again. We bailed on the last show because Omicron was surging so we just wrote it off as a donation to the arts. But now it seems to be subsiding so we'll probably risk it. It's masked and everyone needs proof of vax to enter. Plus its the symphony so everyone is older and more cautious (hopefully). We really need to get out and do something fun. All this sheltering in place is really getting to me.
RE: Sheltering in Place - Drunk Monk - 02-13-2022 691: Work day. Also must pick up Stacy's birthday cake. And there's laundry. There's always laundry. RE: Sheltering in Place - Greg - 02-14-2022 Spent the day pulling out a clump of poison oak that was encroaching on the trail to the Serenity Space. That's always fun. Because then I get to spend the rest of the day trying to determine if the itch I'm feeling on my skin is the start of a poison oak rash or is just the usual weird messages I get from the epidermis. Happy to report no rashes at this time. I also planted 4 rose bushes for the Queen because what girl doesn't like flowers on Valentine's Day. Technu is your friend. I've applied so much of that at festivals that I should get royalties. 692: V-day. Gifts exchanged. Might get takeout tonight, Netflix and chill. Meanwhile, it's work and dog park later. Stacy gave me Star of the Sea by Joseph O'Connor in honor of our local park (plus a bottle of Teelings). I might just have to read a book for fun... RE: Sheltering in Place - Greg - 02-14-2022 No 'H' in Tecnu. Now, I know and might pick some up. the Queen got my KFC as my treat as she was in town picking up Gardening supplies at Lowes. I knew that and can't blame spellcheck on this one. (02-14-2022, 10:31 AM)Greg Wrote: the Queen got my KFC as my treat as she was in town picking up Gardening supplies at Lowes. Woah. dang. Living large. Mashed potatoes and gravy too? I used to love that when I ate meat gravy and potato starch... RE: Sheltering in Place - Greg - 02-14-2022 Simple pleasures for a simple man. I had the fries because I love the fries. As a kid, I was 24/7 mashed potatoes and gravy. Growing up, KFC was a weekly meal. Cole slaw was the other side. When my father and I lived in Ireland sans mom, lots of KFC. When the time came at my wedding to take out the two fathers for a meal, I figured we could get some chicken and a popular local LA spot is Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. When I told this to elder sister, she informed me it was a bad idea since my father****DIDN"T LIKE CHICKEN*****. What the hell? And when I asked him at the restaurant, sure enough he said he didn't like chicken. |
