I just got dressed because the highlight of my day will be twining Yuki out to the dog park. I could’ve gone in my pjs if it weren’t so cold.
Answered a few work emails on my new iPhone. But mostly been playing with my new iPhone. Luv the new camera.

We're having hamburgers (rare cooking of beef) and sweet potato fries. I've got a nice lebkuchen for later. And there's a Thin Man marathon on TCM.

Found pants.
Found beer and light food, sat in the chill sunlight. Walked to the Spanish Table, then to a small market, then back to H's nest. Tonight is French leftovers: Cassoulet, French onion soup, chocolate salami, all made from scratch. The FO soup recipe is from Julia Child and was a food epiphany; unbelievably good & complex. Coffee & whisky later, champagne for H.

Hit the Saratoga library bookstore and picked up a couple of books for future trading, and a couple of CDs. Restrung my ukulele. Now watching the Thin Man Marathon on TCM.

The fireworks just subsided in my hood and Yuki is sleeping with me (1st time ever). This is the first time he’s been bothered by fireworks.
668: Stacy has a few private clients so I’ll work then. I must pick up groceries and take Yuki to mud wrasslin. It’s Saturday but it feels like Sunday.

Rare day off from fencing, so closed shop. Plan is to sleep in, then H & I will meet friend in GGP and take a walk.

I did notice, on the way in from the dog walk, I will be starting the New Year scraping the frost from my windshield in order to go shopping.

make that 669, swap sat for sun and sun for mon, and add laundry.

Maeve is limping so no walk for her this morning. I won't be doing a walk until the world gets a little warmer but I have to bypass one of my usual routes because the neighbor on that part of the road will be "processing" his cows today.

Went back to work and found out that the heat has been off in the building since the 15th, and they are waiting for the part they need to fix it - and they have been waiting since the 15th so who knows how long it will be. We got permission to work remotely, so I left at noon. I'll stay home this week I guess. I do have a heater, and it got my office fairly warm, but everyone else left, so no reason for me to be there.

Had a huge kerfuffle about my mom scheduling a dental appt without telling me. I cancelled it but then had to restore it. She said she lost her dentures. I'll search the house tonight. How far could they go?

672: The morning telemeet was planning the 2022 telemeets. Now I got a ton of chores for my mom. She basically sits around and thinks up stuff for me to do and then nags me about it constantly whenever I'm here. She doesn't nag in a nagging way. It's more like an I-forgot-I-just-asked-that-of-you-dozens-of-times-already way. Not sure which is worse.
Then home - need to swing by downtown to pick up a few items, then maybe tuck into some TV to unwind. Got a new screener to star binging.
