Unbroken chain @ the Mo - Drunk Monk - 03-20-2026 Soundcheck Wheel Slipknot>franklins Wharf Speedway Touch Came up early to eat in Japantown - smashed some seafood ramen thst was super tasty - corn based broth. Then they fed us here at the Mo (in the past they’ve cashed us out) so I had a second dinner of curry over rice, roasted veggies and some fine cheeses. Seeing a lot of friends already. Gonna be a scorcher. RE: Unbroken chain @ the Mo - Drunk Monk - 03-20-2026 Matt rider One way or another This darkness got to give E: touch We wer busy RE: Unbroken chain @ the Mo - Drunk Monk - 03-21-2026 Home Took the 1 and saw so many cops, some pleasant fog and almost no other cars. A beautiful ride home with Bob pop music & kpfa rap. Had a patient in the bathroom. He pissed himself majorly. His friend said he had a brain injury and had incontinence issues. He was very unsteady. We got him to a hallway bench, so glad I had gloves on me & got them to cover the hench wit a garbage bag. They called a Lyft but no way he was steady enough for stairs so we have to take him to the elevator with iz now front of stage left. We walk him thru the crowd as they’re reaching a crescendo and he goes down - so intense i can’t remember what the song was but it’ll hit me when I see a set list. I’m talking to him all the way thru and get him back up when the song ends. We get him to a street and wifh the help of sfpd, get him and his partner on their Way. It was his first dead experience. Then we had this guy in full crisis. His friend disappeared to hit on some drunk gal, and he had a major lac on his head but it was old. He claimed someone broke into his home and tried to kill him and they fought for five minutes and he threw his assailant over his balcony to his death and the cops told him to get out of town which was allegedly bend OR so he was staying in an Airbnb in San Rafael wifh his new lab puppy who was the only one who believed him just google it and you’ll see he’s telling the truth plus his parents both just died and left him a lot of money and he hoped to escape his ptsd by coming to the show and dropping shrooms but he shouldn’t have come because he was bumming everyone out but no one believed him and could I help get him an uber back to his dog? Sure. That’s totally what I do at RM. So got to get hands on and lead two major saves and all the new crew (it’s mostly new) were like ‘ah. I see what that guy does now. I’d been wondering.’ Addintionally we had 4 major syncopals & a gal barfing in the garbage can. Good ol’ Grateful Dead, man. I worked solidly but caught several nice songs. Mission in the Rain was standout. Felt like the old daze for a moment, heroic rock med psych, it’s been a moment. Sometimes DM wonders if he’s a vampire deadhead That feeds on bad trips. Revel in it. Embrace the truth. RE: Unbroken chain @ the Mo - Drunk Monk - 03-21-2026 If only I wrote fiction Theres a good short story in there. There is a genre of deadhead fan fiction - mostly stories set on tour with supernatural/psychedelic tropes. I read one. It was bad. RE: Unbroken chain @ the Mo - Greg - 03-21-2026 I had the same inkling to the same end.
