Snakes on a Plane - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 05-08-2006 I want to know why this entire forum isn't completely devoted to the topic of "Snakes on Plane"? Maybe this should be in the debates or issues section, but it is also a movie. And it's going to be great. What is it about? Guess. ![]() Wow - a big fat poster.... - Drunk Monk - 05-09-2006 ...fatter than a long url ![]() Greg, this is the net. Show a trailer: http://www.tagworld.com/snakesonaplane I think Snakes on a Submarine would be better, but maybe that's the sequel. Snakes on a space shuttle? Now we're talking... BTW, the day I heard of this movie, we found a snake in our house. We get them every once in a while. We have no idea where they come from. Little grass snakes. This one was right smack in the middle of our hallway, just hanging out. snakes in my house - Drunk Monk - 08-24-2006 Oh screw this movie. It gets all this free buzz for being soooo crappy and it captures the box on opening week. What is happening to marketing in this country? Now I'm giving it more free buzz, but screw it. I'm doomed. No I didn't see it. PSYCH! I don't have to see it. I freaking live it. Our cat has got in the habit of catching those little grass snakes, torturing them, and leaving their broken bodies in our home. They usually crawl into some crevice to hide and die. We've had three recently. Snake #1: Cat comes trotting happily into garage with wriggling snake #1 in mouth. There's much screaming from the women of the household as well as a shocked gasp from the lone man. The lone man proceeds to chase said cat, who drops snake #1. Then the lone man captures snake #1 with a broom and dustpan as said cat tries to recapture it. Snake #1 is dumped in the front yard in a bush which will be known as the 'snake graveyard' and said cat is monitored to prevent recapture. Snake #2: Upon returning from a trip, daughter notices what she beleives to be ants eating a slug in the center crevice in the garage. It's actually snake #2, who is still wriggling. Snake #2 has coiled itself tightly in the crack and cannot be pulled free without snapping it's body in two. Lone man decides to let nature take its course. Wife covers the nature in action with a large piece of cardboard. The next day, snake #2 is dead and mostly devoured. Lone man gingerly pulls it free from the crack, retrieving most of the remains and tossing them in the snake graveyard. The following day, the ants clean up the rest. Snake #3: Housecleaner discovers snake #3 dead under the small living room carpet. It is a fresh kill. Housecleaner tosses snake #3 into the zen garden. This morning, lone man retrieves snake out of the garden and transfers it to the snake graveyard. We recently installed a cat door. This has become a major problem. Next there'll be... - cranefly - 08-24-2006 ...planes in your house. Purple is a bad color for my theme - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 08-24-2006 My favorite shirt for the movie is a picture of a DC-3 with an asterik next to it. Below, it says Snakes not included. I was thinking SOAP would be the perfect Doom film but alas. Maybe the DM protestest too much? We don't got no snakes ( You caught it with broom and a dustpan? Just grab it for Christ sakes, martial arts man) Lizards, different story. The cats used to bring them into the house where they would get loose and die under the couch. Good thing, the Queen moves the couch to vacuum or my goodness there would be a big pile. I never touch blood. - Drunk Monk - 08-29-2006 I've had one too many friends die because of blood contact. Of course, that was human blood, but remember, AIDS probably came from butchering green monkey meat and there are whole hosts of other diseases floating around in the animal kingdom just looking for an avenue to cross over. All these years in Rock Med and the martial arts, I've seen a fair amount of blood - no where near what PB has seen - but enough to always be sanitary. #4 was found very close to my bedroom door. Stacy gets up earlier and found it crawling out from behind the hallway speaker. She caught and released it. #5 was also found, caught and released by Stacy. It was near the piano. We're all watching the cat very carefully. Over the weekend I planted two trees and watched her stalk. Everytime she looked about to pounce I messed up her game. She didn't know what to think. We just had a lot of yardwork done so maybe that caused some snake population growth. We need to rent her - The Queen - 08-30-2006 As I mentioned before, our cats never go outside, so they're useless as hunters. When the occasional spider wanders by, they sort of play at stalking it, but for the most part they just toy with it, changing its direction. They never kill anything. So maybe we should rent your cat to take care of our rodent problem in the garage/wood shop. I went to look for a roll of duct tape not too long ago and got made fun of when I came shrieking back into the house sans tape. ![]() Channel your innner Willard - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 08-30-2006 Just name him Ben. don't know that our cat could catch a rat... - Drunk Monk - 08-30-2006 ...we've been shocked she can catch snakes. Keep in mind, she's a tamed feral, tamed as a kitten, so she's a little messed up in the head. You'd think tamed ferals would be like Tarzan, but their more like Rainman. Quote:Ben, the two of us need look no moreImagine if Michael Jackson were to redo this song today. Creeeeeeepy. Yikes - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 08-30-2006 Two Ben references in the same day. next thing you know they are going to remake Willard. And who said Crispin Glover's career wasn't taking off. #6 - Drunk Monk - 08-31-2006 #6 was curled like a dog turd on the walkway to our front door. Outside thankfully. The cat was lying facing it, bored with it's lack of animation. The snake seemed in fine shape, just a little sluggish, so I kicked it into the bushes. It just sat there, an easy target for the cat, so we locked the cat door. Well, we thought we did. The cat got in, but without #6. In other cat news, a neighbor posted a lost cat notice that looked disturbingly like our cat, only it obviously wasn't because our cat has a little milk moustache on one side and this lost cat does not. Nevertheless a nosey neighbor brought the cat loser neighbor over in a most accusatory manner. The cat loser realised immediately that it wasn't her cat. We're now pissed that the nosey neighbor didn't beleive us. The lost cat notice is hung proudly on our bulletin board. No doubt, it's a half sibling of our cat. Where are we mommy? - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 09-01-2006 How far off thread are we going to get. At least it started with snakes. Now we are onto lost semi-feral cats loosen up pope - Drunk Monk - 09-01-2006 next thing you know, you'll ask us to see this movie. My name is not in the credits - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 09-01-2006 Isn't that the rule for movie watching? A rule so few of you adhere to? #7 - Drunk Monk - 09-12-2006 #7 was left on the pergo, just inside the house. it was returned to the yard relatively heathly. we now beleive that #4, #5 & #6 may all be the same snake. we think it's in it for the thrills. actually, that's not in the least bit interesting, but since we aren't going out to movies lately, it's just an attempt to keep this thread going. greg checkmated me with the last comment, effectively shutting this whole forum down until one of us gets off our ass and goes to the movies again.... |
