Actually, I don't really know if it is CF's Bday. That's what it sez on facebook, but CF has been known to distort things that he puts on the web. Don't we all? Anyway, hope it's a happy one and we'll have more to celebrate at the DOOMTDAY gathering (if I can make it)...

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. Decided to wash my car on my birthday. Picked an 800-mile-long carwash from Mountain View to Seattle.
Eugene treated us to a rainbow hiatus before resumption of the spray wand.
The day after, we tempted Stevens Pass eastward to Wenatchee, apple capital of the world. The Prius just barely managed it. We're now recovering at the residence of Lady Cranefly's sister, eating deer hearts and drinking homemade kaluha (just me the drinking). Will likely be here for a week or so.
