ninjas vs. pirates - Drunk Monk - 11-22-2005 Now DOOM was founded on ninjitsu, not piratsu. MarKKK claims he is a pirate. But we all have ninja outifts, as part of our initial DOOM constitution. None of us have pirate outfits. Well, the Kennance probably does, but that's just another reason for the Kennance. I've actually taken a seminar in ninjitsu. Honest. From Stephan Hayes, no less, when I was much younger. Although I confess having a soft spot for Pirates of the Carribean (the ride, not the movie). Maybe Chow Yun Fat can sway me in the sequel. I hate Capt. Morgan. I like ninja motorcycles, but I don't ride at all, so wtf do I know about such things? Dude! - Haggis Killer - 11-22-2005 You took a class from Stephan Hayes, the original white boy ninja? Can he really fly? Does darkness flow from his, you know, behind? Is he able to wave his hands and make you forget where you left your car? I mean, what's the deal with him? By the way, when was somebody going to clue me in on the 'you gotta have a ninja outfit' requirement for BOD? Not to mention (from another line of inquiry) the tux? I've got neither of these things, so I must live hereforward under the assumption that you've all been teasing me about my having been voted onto the island. Is there a cheat sheet or something? Now that I know where I stand, I think I'd better check the fine print. There might be something in there about easy cheese mixing in an unholy manner with pudding. I gotta be more careful, you know? Now, my son's chosen to be a pirate for the last 2 halloweens. I haven't got a pirate costume myself. He's got a couple of 'em, but they won't fit me. Except for the eyepatch. And the hook. Hmm. I think I'm somewhere where I don't know where I am. Except for one thing - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 11-23-2005 There isn't a talk like a Ninja day. There is a talk like a pirate day. Get a tux. Get a Ninja Outfit. Love bad films. Have a history of martial arts. Swear your allegience to pudding. The rules are posted on the site - Drunk Monk - 11-23-2005 See http://brotherhoodofdoom.com/Stories/genltr1.html Note that this document was written on an Intelliwriter (like almost all of my College papers). Personal computers weren't around yet. There has been some amendments since then, of course: All ninja uniforms should be purchased from MartialArtsMart.com http://www.martialartsmart.net/16-01xxs.html and yes, I can get you a discount. The pizza no longer need be Jakes, nor must it be all meat, since a few of us are vegetarian. We now allow for poofters because of well, you know who... ![]() We don't give a flying crap about Rob Woodhall anymore. Actually nowadays, for qualification for DOOM, you need only post on this forum, methinks... Go Pirates - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 12-02-2005 There isn't s New Orleans Ninjas professional sports franchise. But there is plenty of pirate franchises. Aaargh! And how many ninja commercials do you see? But there are plenty of pirates working for credit card companies and Fedex. - El Dingo - 12-03-2005 Ahoy m hearties! Ye know I am a pirate even though I'm parlaying with ye on teh internet. Ninjas 're not so easy ter spot on teh internet. ![]() ninja are easy to spot nowadays - Drunk Monk - 12-06-2005 Seriously, I know a real ninja. He's very nice and comes by the office now and again. He's a good friend of our organization because he's in our ninja videos http://www.martialartsmart.net/Video_Ninja.html. He drives around in this crazy handpainted ninja love van. I kid you not about this. He's impossible to miss when driving. What is a ninja love van? - Legbone - 12-16-2005 Gene, What qualifies this as a love van? Have you been in the love van with that ninja? I knew all that sword play was metaphor. I've not been inside the ninja love van... - Drunk Monk - 01-02-2006 ...although now that you mention it, I should ask to see the interior next time he stops by, sheerly for the sake of being investigative. Seriously, you can't miss the ninja love van. He tables at the Cow Palace gun shows, so if you're ever at one, check out the parking lot. More ninja facts - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 01-02-2006 The Secret Ninja Empire used to be based in a garage on South Van Ness, not far from the fencing club. I always thought it a bit strange that ninjas were advertising, but they disappeared after a couple of years. Or maybe they are still there, but I can't see them...? HK, you have a formal kilt, and that trumps a tux. The ninja outfit is a must, however. For a complete selection of pirate accessories, try <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.archiemcphee.com">www.archiemcphee.com</a><!-- w -->. Wombat Larue loves them! Archie McPhee Rocks - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 01-02-2006 That's were the Avenging Unicorn Playset came from. SF ninja headquarters - Drunk Monk - 01-02-2006 I think it's out on the mission now, near where I used to live after the close of castle highland. I'm told it had one of those classic sliding slot door peep holes, but I've never been there. And if you had been there - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 05-24-2006 would you be able to tell about it? I don't think so. Show us your pirates - Drunk Monk - 05-26-2006 I almost put this on the 'my martial world thread' but it'll sit well here. Banners are NSFW, except maybe for where all of us work. http://www.wunbuck.com/html/Insane-Ninja-Training.html that's not all they were showing. - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 05-26-2006 You go to that sat for it's Ninja content, DM. I believe you. Did someone forget to inform them about the pool of water they should be jumping into? |
